About the Lecture

ENBIO initially began as a medical devices company, putting synthetic bone onto titanium hip joints. Their technology ended up having application in the space sector and that is where they have hit their stride. Lorcán will talk a little about the company, its history, how they came to be where they are now and their plans for the future.

The talk will cover the Solar Orbiter and EIRSAT-1 missions, in which ENBIO were involved. It will explain the various coatings ENBIO offers and their application in space and elsewhere. He will explore the space sector in general, in Europe and in Ireland specifically.
