ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
David Grennan
He is an IT professional by profession but his real passion is astronomy and the night sky, which he views from a purpose built observatory in his back garden. Amazingly David lives in Raheny, Dublin. You would think that living in Raheny, what with light pollution, would be a drawback but not so for David. He has had a life long interest in astronomy encouraged by his late mother Catherine Grennan from an early age, after whom an asteroid is named.
