Join us for a free Venus Watch at AI Headquarters in Blanchardstown at 3:00PM on Sunday July 30.
This event is being run on the occasion of Venus being a huge 53 arc seconds wide. We have never run a Venus Watch on the occasion of its disc being the biggest planetary disc possible to see in the telescope so this will be a unique event. Venus will be 21 degrees from the Sun.
SPECIAL SUN SHOW
We will also be setting up a special “H-alpha” telescope to view the Sun like you have never seen it before – with prominences, filaments and not just the HUGE sunspots that have appeared this year!
So this is a DOUBLE UNIQUE event for the summer – please get ALL your friends and family to come along
This event will go ahead regardless of weather so do come along.
Our Public Watches help us raise funds to help us continue promoting astronomy and space in Ireland, please pre-book your ticket HERE
